Sofia was exclusively breastfed until she was 6 months old. Then we slowly introduced her to purees. At about 7 months we gave her a trial of baby led weaning. She enjoyed that too but didn’t eat much and stopped sleeping so after a bit of experimenting with routines and food at 9 months I think it’s finally falling into place.
Note that Sofia is allergic to cows milk protein and cannot have anything dairy or Soja so I continue to breastfeed on demand throughout the day and after meals if she wants it.
6am wake up – nurse (sometimes she will go back to sleep)
8am – breakfast
10:30am after nap – piece of fruit in Slices
13:30 – lunch puree (we give a puree at lunch as it fills her up and without this she will refuse her afternoon nap)
15:00 -nurse & nap
17:00 / 18:00 BLW style dinner when she eats part of what we are eating, as much or little as she wants. Sofia has a delicate stomach and we have found if she eats too much she will be sick so we do her dinner this way to let her eat as much as she feels like.
20:00 / 21:00 – nurse to sleep.
Sofia then normally wakes up at 3am for another feed.
